AQUA-PHLO ORGANIC ACID is a modified organic acid derived from Lignin, a natural and renewable raw material that contains organic carbon and sugars. It acidifies irrigation water; improves water penetration; helps free up bound nutrients in alkaline soil and supplies carbon to soil microöorganisms.

MANAGING HIGH pH SOILS and IRRIGATION WATER

Maintaining the correct pH of your soil is one of the most important maintenance practices in your turf management program. A soil pH that is too high can, among other things, result in inefficient use of fertilizer, contribute to thatch build up, and can lead to increased pest problems.

Most recycled and /or grey irrigation water is highly alkaline and will contain significant levels of carbonate and bicarbonates. This can have the effect, over time, of increasing the pH of soils. High bicarbonate levels in irrigation and soil water locks up essential plant nutrients, such as calcium and magnesium, making them unavailable for plant uptake. In extreme cases phosphates are less available, and iron chlorosis can occur.

Injecting Aqua-pHLo to pre treat irrigation water will convert insoluble carbonates and bicarbonates to highly soluble salts releasing those essential nutrients necessary for plant growth and vigour. Aqua-pHLo will also act as a complexing agent for soil nutrients, maintaining them in forms that are more readily available to the plant.
